Welcome Ms. Maggie!
Meet Ms. Maggie!
From the moment I met Maggie, I knew she would be a wonderful addition to the Willow community.
When interviewing prospective teachers, you usually know within the first ten minutes if someone is the right fit. I knew within five minutes of talking with Maggie that she was meant to be at Willow. She brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to teaching and a genuine love of helping children connect with the natural world—our kinda teacher!
Maggie graduated summa cum laude from Lesley University with a degree in Elementary Education and American History. Most recently, she served as a School Garden Educator with Island Grown Initiative on Martha's Vineyard (which she lovingly refers to as "The Rock"), where she designed and taught garden-based curriculum, cared for school gardens, organized farm field trips, and helped children explore food systems, gardening, and environmental stewardship. She has also presented at the Massachusetts Farm & Sea to School Conference, sharing innovative ideas in garden education with fellow educators.
Her experience includes classroom teaching, special education, outdoor education, and regenerative agriculture. She has a warm, optimistic, and enthusiastic spirit that makes her a wonderful fit for our community. I know our students will benefit from her creativity, knowledge, and joyful approach to learning.
