Kiana Acevedo

. Hi, my name is Kiana Acevedo, and I am so excited to be part of the Toddler Program at The Willow School!

I earned my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maine at Farmington and have spent the last 10 years teaching children in a variety of settings. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with different ages and experiencing a range of educational philosophies, including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf.

In recent years, I’ve fallen in love with working with toddlers. Supporting children through care routines, guiding social interactions, and witnessing their daily discoveries is such a joy and honor. My teaching style is rooted in observation and connection. I meet children where they are, ask thoughtful questions to spark curiosity, and model behaviors through gentle, soft-spoken interactions.

Outside the classroom, you can often find me outdoors; hiking, camping, or kayaking in the warmer months, and playing ice hockey or snowboarding once the snow falls. I love staying active, exploring nature, and learning alongside the children I teach.
