Known at Willow as Ms. Cricket, Rae-a Moughty brings a wealth of experience, creative energy, and a love of the outdoors to our school community. She makes curriculum dreams a reality, turning ideas into meaningful experiences that invite children to explore, create, and discover.

A Registered Maine Guide and the founder, director, and program lead of Campfire Institute, Ms. Cricket is passionate about making wilderness education accessible to everyone. During twelve years at School Around Us, she shared that passion through leading wilderness trips and directing theater performances.

Ms. Cricket believes in the magic of slowing down, noticing the natural world, and learning through experience. We are so lucky to have her energy, expertise, and imagination here at The Willow School.
