Prek/Preschool Teacher (Full-Time)
Start Date: June or September 2026
Location: The Willow School, Cumberland, Maine
At The Willow School, we believe childhood should feel slow, meaningful, and connected—to nature, to community, and to a child’s own sense of self.
We are a Montessori-inspired, nature-based program where children spend significant time outdoors, move freely between carefully prepared environments, and are trusted as capable participants in their own learning. Our classrooms are calm but alive, structured but flexible, and rooted in respect for both children and teachers.
What makes The Willow School different is not just what we do, but how it feels to be here. We value relationships over rigid systems, curiosity over compliance, and thoughtful teaching over rushed outcomes. Our goal is to create a school that is as grounding and sustainable for teachers as it is enriching for children.
During the school year, The Willow School follows the MSAD 51 school calendar. In the summer, we offer 8 weeks of relaxed and enriching programming that provides continuity of care while embracing a more flexible, seasonal pace.
